My Story

This last year has been a huge struggle for charities as so many fundraising events have had to be cancelled due to Covid. So this year I will be running for kids out to make as much money as possible! Whilst writing this in April my longest run has been 5km - so only 37km still to add...

For those who don't know who kids out are, their mission is to give disadvantaged children positive experiences to support them throughout life and giving them opportunities that the rest of us take for granted. This ranges from gifts to open on Christmas Day to trips to the cinema and much more.

Each year in the UK more than 20,000 children flee domestic abuse to seek sanctuary in refuge. Typically leaving home with only the clothes on their back, these children have experienced physical, emotional, and even sexual abuse and arrive at refuge with nothing. In collaboration with Women’s Aid, partner charities and corporate supporters, KidsOut works to remind these children and thousands of others living with disadvantages what it is like to be children and just have fun.
