My Story

On Sunday 10th October 2021, I will be taking part in the London Royal Parks Half Marathon on behalf of KidsOut.

I first heard about KidsOut through my job at Claritas Tax as it is the main charity supported by the firm. After reading about what the charity do, I wanted to help out immediately.

For anyone who has not come across KidsOut, they are a charity that aim to give disadvantaged children the same memories that most of us have probably grown up without appreciating - small things like a day out, a trip to the cinema or a small gift at Christmas.

A donation to KidsOut provides the funds for disadvanted children who have escaped domestic violence or live in daily poverty to look forward to something fun like this.

To put this in perspective, £5 pays for a child's lunch, £10 pays for a child to go to the cinema and £20 pays for a child to go on a fun day out.

Any amount donated will directly contribute towards these experiences for one or more children who would otherwise go without.

Another fantastic incentive by KidsOut is the Giving Tree. Each year KidsOut notes down Christmas gifts from disadvantaged children and distributes these to participators in the scheme who then go out and buy the gifts for each child. Unfortunately, with COVID-19 this year, this hasn't been possible. However, KidsOut have now launched an online shop with the most requested gifts from the children so that anyone can head online and purchase these safely. If this is something that would interest you, please head to the link here.

Many thanks for taking the time to read this, any donation would be hugely appreciated.
